VetAhead

Do you know when you find yourself in need of help with a difficult case, an anesthesia plan, a diagnostic interpretation, or when preparing to see a species you are not used to, and all you want is to pick a specialist’s brain? Someone who’s not going to judge you and is going to help you get out of a sticky situation?
VETAHEAD’s consultants are here for you.

We are here to work with you to improve your patients’ outcomes

Moreover, in doing so, you will also improve your knowledge, confidence, and skills with the guidance of our Specialists.
All our consultants are ACZM diplomates (American College of Zoological Medicine), with emphasis in Zoological Companion Animals (ZCA). Zoological medicine (a.k.a. zoomed, exotic animal medicine) is the branch of medicine that treats nontraditional pets, such as rabbits, rodents, birds, reptiles, and much more!

Here is how it works:

  • Service provided: full evaluation of one case in a session, including interpretation of all diagnostic tests (imaging, lab work, cytology/histology results, etc.), differential diagnosis, recommended additional tests, treatment, preventative medicine, husbandry and diet evaluation, and much more.
  • You will have all your questions answered. If our consultant doesn’t have an immediate answer for you, fear not: your case will be researched, and an answer will be sent your way!
  • Don’t worry about disclosing patient information: we will review everything through screen sharing via Zoom, and we will not retain any personal information from your clients and patients.
  • In order to optimize your time with the specialist, there will be no written report provided by our consultants – they will not use your precious time writing a report; instead, they will use all of the time to talk to you and answer all your questions.
  • However, you are welcome to record the meeting on your end. That way, you can re-watch it as many times as you need.
  • Meetings are scheduled through Zoom – no matter where you are in the world, we’ll be able to help you!
    • Languages currently available: English, Brazilian Portuguese
